The Human Being in the Flow of Transformation
An Interdisciplinary Human–Environment Model
Fear is often regarded as a successful survival strategy that alerts us to danger. But does it not often lead us to overlook relevant details of a situation or to act error-prone, particularly if it does not initially paralyze us?
Aleksandra Dimova discusses these and many other questions in her work titled 'Human in the River of Transformation' she provides the reader with insight into complex neurobiological and psychological mechanisms.
Throughout history, humans have managed to survive in the flow of countless events by means of finely tuned regulatory processes.
But, are the adaptation capacities of these processes still sufficient to cope with the current flood of requirements and information?
And what can we do to protect our well-being?
A fascinating guide for all those thirsty for knowledge!

Early intervention in children of mentally ill parents
Dr. Manfred Pretis, Dr. Aleksandra Dimova
About three to five million children in the German-speaking world have at least one parent who is mentally ill. This can have serious consequences for the children: unexpected reactions, difficult social and financial circumstances, longer separations can impair a secure bond with the parents and the development of the children. The authors show how children of mentally ill parents can be supported in early intervention.
Using case studies, they provide information about the parents' disorders and explain how the child perceives the disease.
